Banana Smoothie Without Yogurt
A banana smoothie without yogurt is a simple yet tasty drink. There’s so much to love about this smoothie.

Best Banana Smoothie Without Yogurt
This banana smoothie without yogurt is different than other smoothies. It celebrates the banana with ingredients that complement its flavor. In most cases, the sole purpose of the banana in a smoothie recipe is to create a creamy texture. However, this smoothie provides a banana flavor that’s not overpowering.
This recipe is easy. The frozen fruit adds thickens. It’s a better alternative than ice cubes because you won’t lose any flavor.

Ingredients Needed
- Frozen Bananas – Bananas thicken smoothies. Since frozen banana enhances texture, yogurt is unnecessary for this recipe. Additionally, ripe bananas are best when it comes to flavor. When bananas are overly ripe they may taste too sweet. On the other hand, an unripe banana can be bitter. For best results, use a yellow, ripe banana.
- All Spice – A smoothie with one flavor is boring. The allspice gives this drink a kick.
- Honey – The first banana smoothie I made had vanilla extract in it. It was too strong, so I opted for honey instead. Honey adds sweetness, but doesn’t have a strong aftertaste like vanilla does.
- Oat Milk – This is a dairy-free substitute for milk. Originally, I tried making this smoothie with 1 cup of oat milk. I find that less milk makes for a creamy banana smoothie.
If you like protein powder you can add it to this banana smoothie recipe. However, I recommend blending the ingredients first. Then add the protein powder to blend one more time.
How to Make a Dairy Free Banana Smoothie
Ingredient preparation – Freeze the bananas. When you slice and freeze the banana the smoothie has a better texture. You can store the bananas in freezer-safe bags, but they may stick together. To avoid this use a freezer-safe container instead.
Blend smooth – Add the ingredients to the blender. A high-powered blender will break up the bananas more easily with a small amount of liquid. For even blending, turn off the blender and use a silicon spatula to push down the fruit. Then blend again. You will need to do this several times. Add a little more oat milk if chunks of banana remain.
Serve: Pour into a tall glass or travel tumbler and serve. You can top off this banana smoothie with salted caramel for a sweet and salty twist.
You can have this healthy, delicious banana smoothie without yogurt in between meals or a light breakfast!
