Vanilla Bean Whipped Coffee
Whipped coffee is delicious and takes less than 10 ingredients! The best part is that you don’t need a fancy machine to make it. This coffee is thick, fluffy, and infused with sweet vanilla flavor. You can drink it hot or with ice.

Before trying out (Dalgona coffee) whipped coffee, I made whipped matcha and loved everything about it. Great taste, texture, and perfect for warm weather. After tasting it I decided to take the flavor I love from an iced vanilla latte and combine it with the Dalgona Coffee.
What Type of Sugar Do I Need?
I tested the recipe with granulated sugar and brown sugar. Both work to stabilize the coffee and maintain the texture.
Do I Have to Use an Electric Mixer?
No. You can use a whisk to whip up the coffee. However, it will take much longer (about 10 minutes). Your arm will get tired from whisking, but it works.
When using an electric hand mixer or stand mixer, it takes about 5 minutes. Make sure you whisk the coffee in a mixing bowl. This will allow enough air to get incorporated into the mixture. Also, you don’t want to burn yourself with the boiling water.
Can I Make this Drink Hot or Iced?
You get to decide! Add ice to the milk if you prefer it cold. To make it hot, warm up the milk, but avoid bringing it to a boil. Instead, let it simmer in a small pot.
Is Dalgona Coffee the Same as Whipped Coffee?
At first, I was unfamiliar with the drink. However, I learned more about it on Pinterest. Turns out, they mean the same thing. Dalgona coffee originates from South Korea. In 2020, it became a viral trend. People loved its simplicity. Most importantly, there are few ingredients, making it easy for people to make at home.
How to Make Vanilla Bean Whipped Coffee
A vanilla bean simple syrup adds sweetness, which makes it taste more like a vanilla latte. Whipped coffee on its own has some bitterness, but simple syrup balances it out.
Step 1: Make the simple syrup. To make the simple syrup, add water and sugar to a pan and whisk occasionally. Once the sugar has dissolved, turn off the heat and add the vanilla bean paste.

Step 2: Whip the instant coffee. Add almond extract, boiling water, instant coffee, and sugar to a mixing bowl. Use a hand mixer or a stand mixer and whisk. Start slow, and gradually work up to a higher setting. Mix for about 5 minutes.
Pour milk into a 12-ounce glass, place a large scoop of whipped coffee on top, and stir.
Do I Have to Use Instant Coffee?
Yes, instant coffee grounds dissolve in the hot water. Using espresso powder or ground coffee beans creates a gritty texture that sticks between your teeth.
